SOLSTÍCIO DE VERÃO...ou... LITHA
O Verão (Estio), oficialmente, chegou. Apesar das próprias estações do ano andarem um tanto ou quanto baralhadas e trocadas. Hoje é o dia mais longo do ano; logo, a noite mais curta; ou seja, é chegado "o momento em que o Sol, durante seu movimento aparente na esfera celeste, atinge o seu maior afastamento em latitude, da linha do equador" (in Wikipédia). Quem entende disto, diz que é nesta noite (Noite de Midsummer) que é propício estabelecer-se contacto com as fadas e os entes especiais, através de rituais realizados em círculos de pedra.
Mas é durante este dia que LITHA, uma festa celta, comemora e honra o elemento SOL como símbolo da VIDA.
A Deusa e o Deus encontram-se no esplendor da sua juventude e celebra-se o fervor da vida. Aliás, era considerado que este Deus atingia o ponto máximo do seu poder, apesar de, ao mesmo tempo começar o declínio do mesmo. De seguida, daria o seu último beijo à Deusa, sua amada, e partiria no Barco da Morte, em busca da Terra do Verão.
Nos tempos antigos, esta data era comemorada através de inúmeros jogos e festivais.
É tempo de assumir humildade suficiente perante o que fazemos na vida, de modo a não ficarmos cegos pelo aparente poder e perene sucesso. Porque tudo na vida é cíclico e faseado; dividido em altos e baixos, na plenitude e na Morte, na oposição conjugada da Vida.
Como os círculos de pedra não abundam nos nossos lares, podem ser realizados rituais com velas vermelhas, queimando-se flores vermelhas ou ervas solares (temos a Camomila, Sabugueiro, Lavanda, Artemísia, Pinho, Rosas, Verbena, Samambaia, Cravo, Margarida, Lírio e Hera). Acompanham-se estes rituais com frutas frescas e vinho doce. E que vos seja concedido a todos a coragem, a energia e a saúde.
